We have years of experience working with data in the social sector and put people at the centre by combining social science methods with the latest data science techniques.
Our team is driven by the passion to use data for the common good. Since 2015, the team has been successfully building up the European network CorrelAid e.V., with over 1000 voluntary data scientists.
During the volunteer work with non-profit organisations we realized that classical data science approaches are often designed for business use cases - leaving people and context out of the equation. This is the reason why we founded cause&effect: a service provider that harnesses the context-sensitivity of social science, the ability to make sense of large amounts of data and the potential for scaling impact with software development.
We value interdisciplinarity having backgrounds in data science, political science, sociology, economics and computer science. Our team members have years of experience in the corporate sector as well as the social sector.
